Community Service

Vista Nova School: Vista Nova School, with its two campuses in Rondebosch and Pinelands, caters for children with Cerebral Palsy, Physical Disabilities and other barriers to learning. These disabilities preclude our learners from attending a mainstream school; as such schools are generally unable to cater for their particular barrier to learning. Vista Nova strives to provide learners with a quality education whilst accommodating their specific needs by providing remedial education and therapeutic intervention to learners from the age of 3 through to Grade 12 (18 years of age). Our learners come from across the greater peninsula area and cover all socio-economic groups. Deli Spices recently donated towards the running cost of the bus that transports disabled learners from previously disadvantage communities to Vista Nova.

BEE: We at Deli Spices believe that BEE is imperative to our business. Our Bee Scorecard has contributed to our success and we are proud to have these results.

TB & HIV Clinic: The Delft TB & HIV clinic receives 30 000 visits on a monthly basis. The clinic cares not only for those living in the nearby townships, but also to patients living hours away. Most of the patients are expecting mothers, children and HIV/Aids patients.Deli Spices recently committed to funding a doctors/counsellors office in the new proposed TB and HIV Clinic in Delft.

Kayelitsha Day Hospital: The Khayelitsha Day Hospital trauma unit receives more than 8000 patients every month and is the only facility in the area to operate 24 hours a day. Deli Spices recently funded equipment for use in the trauma centre.

Donations: Deli Spices aims to make a greater impact in our community by being responsive to the needs of the community where we live and work. Deli Spices donated various spices to The Haven, The Ark, Edge Church in Atlantis and the St. Nicholas Church in Elsies River.
